    Default Anyone tried PCSX2?

its a pc simulator for PS2 dvds. i'm trying to play some scratched ps2 dvds (which my ps2 cant read) in my PC. so i learned i needed a simulator. i installed it, learned i needed a bios ROM. got it and then i needed a game pad/ controller. i got my ps2 controller with converter which does the job for PC games but isn't working in the simulator.

what i need to know is that if any of u guys have done this before? if u have then can u tell me why my controller cant play the simulator games?

i've seen my friend trying pcsx2. The sound is really disappointing. Video emulation is considerable. Well, it's cheap, what else do you want?? But again, if you really want to take a sip of ps2, BUY a ps2. Used ones can be found real cheap now, around 4 to 5 grands.

First of all u should have the latest pcsx2 v1.0 ..thats the most stable one.. Then check if u have all the plugins .. To work a gamepad..u need the lilypad plugin...then open pcsx2..click on config>controllers>plugin settings...then configure ur keys for 'Pad 1' .. I have lilypad svn 0.11.0 ..hope it works..btw its not a simulator..its an emulator

I use pcsx2 to play my favourite game of all time, Dragon Quest VII. It is pretty simple. First download the pcsx2 installer. Then google 'PCSX2 BIOS' and download a torrent from thepiratebay. In your My Documents there should be a folder called PCSX2 with a subfolder 'bios'. Put the bios in there. To set up your controller click (on menu of pcsx2) on config then plugins. Change PAD from Lilypad to SSSXPSX Pad. Then go to config again and controller--->plugin settings. Then set up your controller. Now you are good to go.

For a compatibilty check go to the PCSX2.

Hawkeye, I hope my previous comment helped you out.

I don't know how to use keyboard and mouse because I never did. But I can give you a link to PCSX2 official guide: http://pcsx2.net/config-guide.html

Remember that PCSX2 is powered by your CPU so don't use it too much if you are on a laptop as your laptop will overheat rather quickly.
