Default Best P35 motherboard in BD?

Currently the intel P35 based motherboards are the best selling motherboards for gaming in BD. It comes with many vendors like Gigabyte, MSI, Asus, Abit, and also from Intel. Can anyone tell which one would be the best one?

    Depends on the price,

for around 9k i would recommend the Gigabyte P35 DS3L
for around 13k i would recommend the Gigabyte P35 DS3R
for around 16k i would recommend the Abit IP35-Pro, or the ASUS P5k-E
for more money, go for a X38 chipset, but not really needed unless you have plans for going crossfire

but honestly, unless youre into overclocking, there would be a maximum of 2-4% difference in performance between a 945 based chipset, and the P35. even smaller difference if you consider the 965. A lower strap (or tRD) gives the P35 chipsets around 10% latency advantage, and 6% or so memory bandwidth advantage. That doesnt really translate into much when it comes to real world scenarios (i.e games)

however, overclocking is a completely different story altogeter

    Default Intel is the best

Obviously you need to choose Intel mainboards. Don't be biased. It is famous for its masterful stability and topclass perrformence. Intel is Intel.

it depends, intel motherboards only have a 4 phase power(versus 6 phase for DS3R, and 8 phase for ASUS p5k-E), hence it is actually less stable when compared to the competitors offerings. also, it is less tweakable, worse looking, has no power saving features, and worst of all, no overclocking. Why do u think the top-tier manufacturers(Alienware, Velocity Micro etc) dont use intel motherboards? they are good only for the generic manufacturers who dont know any bios options, tweaking, and simply know how to plug the processor and run the pc

its not about being about being biased. its simply having more knowledge. dont shout bias before verifying what your talking about

    cheers

It is not only my opinion but also of the DesertFox. Intel is the manufacturer of the Intel chipset. So undoubtly it should match best with his own creator, Intel mainboards. Isn't it?

the chipsets chite papers are handed out to all the 3rd party manufacturers, and they develop the motherboard more thoroughly than intel does themselves. intel themselves stated that their motherboards are for low-mid and mid end OEM manufacturers. I guess theres no use arguing here, you cant deny any of the points i listed in my above post, can you?

EDIT: (im mazhar, posted from my cousins account accidentally, im talking about my(mazhar's) post above)

I would go for Asus P5Q-EM...
    As I overclocked a E4600 to 3.6GHz with only 1.36 volts...
And the temparature raised only 50'c in 100% load...
    Asus Rock's!!!
