VaporX runs cooler and more OC'ed but the fans have high failure rate. Tri-X is a bit less overclocked but their fans lasts much longer. Thus i went for the Tri-X version.

Thanx. This is the one with the yellow bid running on the card's face, ryt?

Pls comment on the noise and heat issue.

Under load is it overly noisey?
What fan speed is good for it?
Under load, how did u feel the heat was? Any issues relating to heat whatsoever?
    Did u notice anything else?

    No.
    Default/Auto is good enough.
No heat issue faced yet. Mining is an entirely different scenario. Gaming temp is very good.
This is a highly overclockable beast. For testing purpose, reached 1200Mhz core clock and 1500Mhz memory clock safely.

3.5GB issue is only for >1080p Gaming, at 1080p gaming, 3.5Gb is ok (According to some 970 user).

Unless you overclock, even a CX 600W or a decent 550W can handle a R9 290. Some of these people have no practical idea I suppose, hence I laughed. And @REVx it's obviously a joke, apart from the fact that what you see in the picture is true.

    উলালা উলালা PSU রে মাইরালা

got hard lock up on CSM 600 if i game over 3 hours simultaniously with that gpu and after i replaced it with a 775 watt tough power it is working flowlessly. Funny thing is that 600 watt psu is working fine with a GTX 670 in another pc. Personal experience and u can call it a "practical idea" for me @REVx . Just sharing my personal experience with u, that is all. But that 650 may do the job cause mine was 600..

My friend's pc consists of a R9 290 Direct CU II at 1125/1875 24/7 on a CX 600 with a 4590 clocked at 3.6 GHz (fixed) on a ASRock Z97 mobo, you can play any game or even leave Scrypt mining running for a whole day, no locks no nothing.
