Default Guide: Configuring And Running The Minimus AVR USB Board

    You will need:

    1) FLIP software http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/to...p?tool_id=3886
    2) Drivers (x86 and x64): http://www.minimususb.com/files/minimus_x64_drivers.rar
    3) PS3 at firmware 3.41 and backup manager of your choice.
    4) HEX file of your choice, try Hermes 4B ( http://www.ps3hax.net/2010/10/hermes...ts-usb-boards/ ).
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Configuration:

    1) Connect the device to your PC. Its already in DFU (upgrade) mode, so you don't need to press anything on the hardware itself.
    2) Windows will fail to install drivers, point it to the ones you downloaded from the link above.
    3) Install and run the FLIP software.
    4) Click: Device > Select and then choose AT90USB162
    5) Click: Settings > Communication > USB then click Open
    6) Click: File -> Load HEX File and point it to the correct hex file for the Minimus
    7) Press Run to flash the chip.
    8) If there's a green light next to Verify Pass, then your Minimus is ready.

To use it in the PS3:
    1) Turn off the PS3 completely then turn it on again.
    2) When in Standby mode (red light glowing), plug in the minimus
    3) Press the power button and then keep on hitting the eject button till the XMB appears.
    4) If you see 2 new options, one being 'Install PKG file' then you have successfully jailbroken your PS3. If not, try the restarting the PS3 again.

    Jailbroken, now what?:
You will need a backup manager, I have several installed at the moment, namely, Gaia Manager, Open Manager + Open Copy Install, and Backup Manager 1.1.

To play your games, make a folder in your external HDD named 'GAMEZ' then copy the PS3 game folder there. The PS3 game folder is the one which you get after extracting the game, the BLUXXXX folder.

Some older ripped games don't work with new backup managers, so try different versions of the same manager. Hermes 4B is not supposed to require a disc in the tray but Castlavania did not run without one, and kept giving errors. So experiment, and if you have any confusion, then post back.
