Blizzard trying to milk yet another cow.
Well, they can go to hell as far as I'm concerned; they used to be a company that had an oldschool spirit in the old day, but I guess WoW's model made them businessmen-like rather than game developers with a strong ethic they used to have.
I well know they're not going to make money off it.. ( well, let's forget revenues that will eventually be made even though it's free ) It doesn't change the fact that they're trying to rip-off a custom map to which they didn't give any proper support, claiming it as somehow "their own".
It's funny how they suddenly realise how cool and awesome a DotA map would be, when Valve announces Dota 2 - while they didn't really do a thing when the other clones popped out.
They just want to have something to present in front of Valve. Players will have an alternative on SC2 engine - which doesn't really fit, but that's not an issue - and sure, that's always good to take. Any opportunity to widen the DotA offspring is always somehow positive.
But the spirit behind this "Blizzard DotA" still is foul. If they were just offering the map like that, and not trying to "sell it" with such a rethoric, then it'd be just fine to me. But nobody will have me trust that Blizzard still has the good spirit it used to have years before.
If they really liked DotA as a whole, they'd have supported the map since a long time.
Hope you got my point, no hard feelings
