i think u should change the monitor.ur pc can handle more.btw i assume ur resolution is 1024x768. So yeah u can play those games .maybe with less antialising.coz those 2 r the most unoptimized games presently. But u could play 99% games at 1680x1050.

if it was 17" CRT then i would suggest stick with it
LCD monitors has greater resolution and it demands more powerful graphics card
i m enjoying games @1280x1024 with my 17" Flat CRT monitor

yes u can play wid highest details in 1024x768.

I think pc gaming er jonno crt best due to higher resolution requirements by lcd and also some ghosting problems. LCD is best for console gaming and movie watching.

And CRT monitor maximum i hocche 4:3 aspect ratio er. So 1024x768 is best. But it varies from monitor to monitor and depends upon refresh rate which is very important for CRTs.

This resolution is more common wid square LCD monitors rather than square CRT monitors.

CRTs can display any resolution. However it is best to stick wid the aspect ratio its screen naturally covers.

i really liked to play games on my crt monitor cause i like the 4:3 aspect ratio and the resolution it supports.

but LCDs run cooler that help a lot during summer and take up less space plus need much less energy.
