Thread: Walton Walpad 10x & some other suggestion

  1. #1

Question Walton Walpad 10x & some other suggestion

I want buy a tablet within 25k & need some serious suggestion & help.
I have my eyes on Walton Walpad 10x & Xiaomi Mi Pad. Can u recommend something else to me within the budget?
Screen size has to b 7+ inch(8-10 preferable), at least 1080p res, NO MediaTek, cellular connectivity really preferred, don't care about camera.

    Regarding Walpad 10x,
How reliable Walton product is? Anybody have any experience? What about Walpad 10x?
They mentioned it has "1.7 GHz Octacore Processor" but what is the chipset used? MediaTek or others? Anybody know about this?

I prefer Xiaomi Mi Pad but only thing that's been holding me is that it has "No cellular connectivity & gps" as i actually need this.
But if Walton sucks & uses MediaTek & i dun get anymore "nice" options, then i'll go for Xiaomi.
So, any recommendations? Any kind of help is appreciated. TIA.

I am using Nexus 7 (2012) and have seen the 2013 first hand. It is more worthy than any other tablet in the same price range. That display is simply awesome.

More than 25k is kinda impossible as i've really stretched my budget!
Which version u r using? 16/32 GB? Wifi/3g? How much did it cost?

I have used both the 16GB only wifi and 16GB Wifi+3G. at the moment of purchasing the only wifi was about 23K and the later one was about 28/29k.

I don't think there is any other tabs that can beat Nexus 7,in this price point.

although i would be happy to get my hands on a Shield Tablet.

Thanks bro. Will inquire about the pricing of 3g version. Will buy if it ventures within the budget. If not then i guess i will go with Xiaomi Mi Pad.

Actually 16gb wifi version of shield is available at G&G starting at 31900 tk! :/
    16 gb wifi nexus 7 is 21500 tk & 32gb wifi is 25000tk. No 3g version available. :/
I've made up my mind to go with Mi Pad. Let's see what happens.

Oh. And also Walpad's chipset is MediaTek. Confirmed.

Nexus 7 has been superseded, Nexus 9 has arrived. Costs 10k BDT more than Nexus 7 but also has better features.
Regardless Nexus 7 is still available for purchase.

I think I should add something. My 2012 Nexus 7 has horrible lag with Lollipop, and also had some serious amount of lag with Kitkat. But you can expect similar lag with any android tab that have less than 2GHz quad core qualcomm CPU and 2 GB ram. That's why I'm more interested in Windows tabs. My HP Stream 7 (a 99$ device) with 1.3GHz processor and also 1 GB ram beats my Nexus 7 fair and square in terms of perforemance, while running full version of windows 8.1. But being a cheap tab, the display or audio quality is not that great though.

My HP Stream 7 (a 99$ device) with 1.3GHz processor and also 1 GB ram beats my Nexus 7 fair and square in terms of perforemance, while running full version of windows 8.1. But being a cheap tab, the display or audio quality is not that great though.
but with a 1.5GHz Quadcore Snapdragon 600 on the Nexus 7 2013 runs kitkat flawlessly, absolutely zero lag or zero problem.
when i got the lollipop first 5.0.0 it was laggy, apps turned off without notice and some other issues but now that its 5.0.1 its stable now, not as good as 4.4.4 but its okay.

one of the biggest + for nexus7 2013 is its 1920*1200 7" IPS display, it looks amazing.

You have 2 GB ram, and I guess the stupid Trim problem of the 2012 N7 doesn't effect the 2013 one. But still, tell me about that zero lag, have you honestly never faced an issue when you tapped something and the reaction come a bit later, or a transition animation instead of dropping frame, just paused for a tiny bit then continued? I also used to tell people that my nexus has zero lag (at least when it was new) untill I tried an iPad. Android is laggy from the core, and ART may have reduced it, but didn't fix it. On other OSes when there is high resource usage, the UI at least hints that "yes I've heard you, just wait a bit and I'll be doing that". Android simply let's you wonder if you actually tapped and wait for response, or you should you try again.

Also, intel bay trail processors blows away any qualcomm processor under any condition. Heard the new Nokia tab is going to use bay trail processor for android, I'm eager to see how it performs.

Wow. Looks like 5.0.2 is out for 2012 Nexus 7. Should improve the condition I think.

I'm not a mobile device gamer, so yes with kitkat it was zero lag, whenever in the browser's address bar whenever i tap swiftkey came instantly, videos on utube, full hd movie playback over wifi everything was smooth.

with 5.0.0 i just dont wanna talk about it -_-
imagine u wanna type something u have tapped the place and ur os has killed the swiftkey process >_<

anyway with 5.0.1 its fine now but still thr is small lag, u know which lag im talking about.

well i guess 2nd biggest selling point of apple products is thr OS, first one is definitely fanabolism, and i dont like apple so i usually avoid thr products.

well thats why i was confused between zenfone and snapdragon based phone -_-

    hopefully!
