my theory- play battlefield 3/4, shadow of mordor for 1 or 2 hours and keep checking the temp and fps, without overclocking
i guess gpu experts of this forum has better idea, they might tell you to use 3dmark or fumark and check the voltage, (i honestly dont know what is ideal voltage or something )

    Required Softwares: GpuZ, FurMark

    #open gpuz
    #click on sensors tab
    #run Furmark
    #Benchmark 720p/1080p 8x MSAA
#keep an eye on the Furmark window, see if any Artifacts are visible
#watch the Gpu temp, Gpu1, Gpu2, Gpu3 temp on GpuZ
#hope the temps dont rise above, 80°C
#run the Furmark for around 8mins...and its enough...
#if the pc doesn't restart, or any Lined screen is not shown, the card is good to go....

#right click on the top left corner of GpuZ... select Read ASIC Quality.... this doeant really matter... value above 50% is okay...

ran furmark for 2-3 minute until the temperature was stable at 80c and fan speed was around 84-85%. then ran farcry 4 for half an hour and no restart till now. and the ASIC Quality is 86.1% and most interesting thing i found was that the new corsair vs450 is 80+ certified. don't know the internal component quality improved or not.

270 to 16.5k, so you paid 7870(same card)+ vs450 15.3k, which seems a little overpriced... but not too much i think

maybe but actually i was in great need of a gpu but didn't have that much money to buy new 270 besides ucc is going to provide only one year warranty on the other hand 7870 has 4.5 month warranty left that's why i have gone for it.
