Default Suggestion for a TV card

I wanted to get a new a TV card and after visiting IDB I got really confused ....is there any brand other then Avermedia that I might go for that will work fine with my CRT monitor??...I noticed the price gap is quite substantial between Avermedia & other brands. Any suggestion regarding internal tv card would be extremely helpful

P.S - I am quite inexperienced regarding tv cards ( infact I have never heard of any other brands beside Avermedia before) so a detailed suggestion would be highly appreciated.

thanks guys for sharing your knowledge.

usb tv card is the better option if you consider it doesn't need to be placed inside your casing which is good for the airflow inside casing.plus less heat.though i am not sure whether internal tv card produces any significant heat.
