Trade REF system
There should be a ref system for trading. That way, we would know how reliable the person is who has some stuff up for sale or who has offered some money. I have seen this system on other forums. Maybe a bit useless here, since no one really trades much stuff. But I have a feeling the Trade Section will be hot soon in the future.

explain the idea in detail.. i mean the role of the ref.

yup i discussed it........ when the forum started we all hoped that someday this forum will link up all the gamerz in bd....... and i think gamerz need to upgrade and modify their pcs much frequently..... so if we can build BG as a trustable place for exchanging/trading stuffs..... gamerz will be greatly helped....... but the thing is that how do we make this section active and helpful and most importantly cheater free..... now how to design a good trade system is matter of thinking........

@asif carbon.....ask the senior and regular members about authenticity about sellers or buyers.... then u will gain trust

yup actually so far all ppl who've posted in trade center have been known and trustworthy. this is why it is not so important issue now, but may become in future.
thanks/reputation can be a measure of trustworthyness.. but not totally reliable.
Lol. How is "thanks" and "reputation" a way of trusting them? I will thank or rep anyone who gives me good info about something, that doesn't necessarily mean he is trustworthy.
that's why i say not totally reliable. so better look for refernce abt the unknown seller bfore going for the deal.
Yeah, well of cource IF I ever go trade, I'll ask everyone I know, and check the net, but many may not, so to ensure protection, we must find some kinda law or new rule or something. :e
if a big exchange is going to happen then one can contact a regular and trustworthy member of BG for being the middle man(if he agrees)...... then in front of the middle man the checking will go on....... then the the stuffs can be exchanged or sold...... a bit cumbersome but for big budget buy and sell this can be done......
and for little stuffs, they r not that difficult to be tested.....
still some more points need to be thought out......

Yeah, like I saw a 8800 Ultra being sold, now that's huge man, and alot of cash, what if they get robbed? =|
I didn't notice this thread had gotten so hot. lol. Anyway, I am a member of this card game forum (I'm only active in the DBZ CCG section lol) where they have this REF (reference) sysetm. You either get +REF or -REF. People there try to maintain not getting any -REF, as only one is enough to cast a doubt on you, but of course, if the reason behind -REF was plausible, the admins/mods can be contacted and that can be removed.
They constantly trade cards and after a successful deal, they both give each other refs, i think. Since they mail their stuff, living in different states, they have this rule that the one with the lowest ref sends first, either money or the item (we have no problem regarding this, as our transactions take place in person).
Only mods can give the refs, the dealers in question has to leave a message in a particular stickyed thread.
And yes, the middle man idea is awesome.
