Exclamation How to connect WinXP to Win7 using LAN?

I need to connect my laptop which runs XP to my PC which runs Windows 7 using LAN. I googled a lot, but what I found is connecting Win7 to XP SP3, where my one is SP2. Can anyone help? I could connect the two machines when I had XP SP2 on the desktop.

P.S.: I have all things needed.

    PLEASE HELP!
