    Default Buying a GPU

My budget is 18K to 24K , including PSU..
So, i guess, there are 4 options,

    HD5770, HD5830, GF460 and HD5850.

I am not sure, which shop is good to go for...could not find GF460 and HD5850s at my known bd shops, HD5830 is priced at 20K which is insane, seems only HD5770 gets good price at 14K. Could you please tell me if there is any shop, other cards can be found ? And at a good and logical price ?

Dual psu is an option to cut price from my budget...but i think there are some complications as, some psu s must have load on 5v rail , no good protection of cheap psu s. Seems, having premium PSU is really a need...

Being a FPS lover, having 1080p display, HD5770 seems marginally ok , until "Southern Islands" come, but since those are 40nm too, there is not going to be a huge change.

If you have any recommendation on available good PSU, it would be great for me.

I would love to know some address and phone numbers of shops you guys are happy with.

If you can wait, then wait. If you can't, get any of the 5000 series. 460s aren't available yet or else you could've gotten that instead of 5770 or 5830.

Really it is, with more memory bandwidth...and cores. Have you seen nvidia dropped 460s price by 30$ yesterday http://www.techeye.net/hardware/nvid...gtx-460-prices ?

    maybe ATI will too

Actually Southern Islands is rumored to be significantly faster than the 5800s. Being made on a 40nm process has nothing to do with performance (not taking clock issues into account). From what I hear, it's part new arch, part old, not sure about it.

Just minor upgrades will be, i guess, since, the actual plan on moving to 32 nm is delayed(will be 28nm) , they are gonna improve other parts then the core. Well , better, ofcourse then the current models.

Your best bet is to wait IMO, prices should fall in a couple of months or so. About SI, there will be significant architectural and preformance differences for Cayman and Antilles (58xx and 59xx replacement) but Barts (57xx replacement) will not get a major architecture overhaul. Still, performance difference from 57xx will be significant.
