    amar ak frnd ar pc te TRANSCEND 1GB DDR-2 (800) ram ase....TRANSCEND ar new akta ram asche model TRANSCEND 2GB DDR-2 (800)ECC...akhn o jodi pc te new ram ta 2GB install kore thn seta ki kaj korbe????..both ram ar ddr2 and bus speed ar same...will they work????

    There are many reasons.
    Same brand er ram holeo 1gb and 2gb ram same na. All Latency same nao hote pare. Another main difference is ECC.

    ECC normal mobo te kaaj kore bole mone hoi na.....ar ecc supported mobo na hole na kenai bhalo...

    my friend is using G33 motherboard...
    I believe after going through the above phrases any tech guy will warn you not to buy this RAM. RAMs for Apple just do not go with PCs. Moreover these are fully buffered DIMMs. FB DIMMs are made for servers and they serve the main purpose of supporting background activities like caching file servers, accelerating route traffic, etc. They perform poorly with foreground activities like gaming, multimedia, etc. Getting one will be like slowing down your whole rig. So, I suggest you to try and get the same type of RAM you currently have with a capacity of 2GB.

    totally agreed. In simple saying, ecc rams are for server motherboard.i think it will not work.get a normal 2 gb ram with same bus speed.
