Try with only one stick at a time. Also, swap the slots when testing until BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) is gone. You might also try re-installing the video card. If it doesn't disappear at all, remove HDD and DVD drive cables, clean with soft brush (same applies to RAM and video card) and re-connect. Then boot up PC, go straight to BIOS and load fail-safe defaults, save and exit setup, and then install OS. The problem should disappear now. If it doesn't, take it to where you bought it from.

Next time you get a BSOD, do NOT get scared and reinstall operating system. There is no guarantee that it will be fixed, and you lose your data (or you waste your time restoring from backup), sometimes even seal your fate. It would have been great if you could post some dump files (which you can't as you formatted your local drive). That would have allow us to find out the exact cause of the problem. Can you remember any code from the blue screen?

The blue screen of death (BSOD) error is either caused by a buggy device driver or a hardware problem. There are a myriad of reasons why this problem occurs.

The first cause of this problem is that your computer may have overheated too much. Check whether your computer temperature is too high and as a remedy have a cooling fan fixed to it.

However, the major cause for your computer showing such a blue screen error Irql_Not_Less_Or_Equal may have to do with your Windows registry, especially the HAL (Hardware abstraction layer). The HAL is a process in the windows registry that is designed to act as the communication link between the drivers and the hardware. When your registry is corrupted, HAL's communication with the hardware is hampered. This causes your computer to hang and give you the BSOD error. This problem requires a rather talented geek to solve it but with a bit of hard work and luck you could as well solve it. As a first step, scan your computer with a registry repair program that is able to fix problems in the HAL layer. Also, if have loaded a new device driver, you could try to remove it and see if the problem goes away or persists.

As you can see, the error isn't that hard to fix once you follow these easy instructions.

In most cases, STOP: 0x0000000A is caused by registry errors, hardware, software or driver incompatibilities, missing system files. Sometimes 0x0000000A error message gives a hint where to look for the cause by mentioning the driver’s name or certain devices (video adapter, for example).

In technical terms, the Stop: 0x0000000A error means that kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location it did not have permission to access or a memory location that exists at a kernel interrupt request level (IRQL) higher that required. A kernel-mode process can access other only processes that have an IRQL that’s equal to or lower than its own. In simpler words, the Stop: 0x0000000A error appears when the driver applies to a wrong memory location. (“The environment is incorrect” is the meaning of (0xA) error code).
