Default A good CPU Mobo Combo within 10K.

As I said in the title I want to know a good AMD CPU and Mobo combo for my pc. Currently I am running on a core i3 530 on h55 Mobo and Unity is really laggy. I want a CPU that can handle unity at 35fps. My GPU is HD7750 from sapphire 1gb DDR5. P.S I was actually considering a GPU upgrade over a CPU but recently I OC'ed my i3 to 3.28GHz from stock 2.93GHz and found a tangible difference in performance. Still pretty laggy though. Enough to be unplayable.

First of all, even high-end rigs are failing to run AC Unity @ 35fps even in low/medium fps. So, you should not be expecting, something like that guaranteed from your upgrade. By the way, the minimum gpu requirement for AC Unity is GTX 680 for playing @ 1920*1080p resolution. So, you won't be able play the game anyway I guess.

Now, as far as your upgrade goes, try buying an i3-4150 and a Gigabyte/Asus H81 mobo for 14k. I know your budget is 10k but I guess after selling your current processor and mobo, you will definitely get some money

I don't game at 1080p. My max res is 1360x768. P.S My friend has an AMD 6300fx I think alongside a HD7770 GHz edition and he can run unity at 35fps so why can't I run it at around 30 or even 25?

Average 35fps is very hard to maintain. My GTX 670 is barely making an average of 40+.

What I don't get is why I go below 20fps. I get like 9-10 fps.

Another problem just occured. There is no audio output or input being made in my system. It shows audio is playing but no sound in the speakers. Is this because I OC'ed my cpu? And how do I fix it? P.S Already tried Device Manager,Driver reinstall, Windows reinstall and Bios tweaking.

Have you plugged in any microphone or headset through the front-panel? By the way, test the speakers too.

The speakers work fine. Tested with my mobile. Headphones too. When I connect the speakers and turn the volume all the way up all I hear is static. Doesn't matter whats playing. This began after updating my bios and turning my bclk to 164. I was trying the pci latency timer turning it upto 64. PC slowed down but then after restoring to 32 I turned my pc on no audio input or output. On Realtek HD Audio Manager my back panel connectors are shown to be greyed out.

Nothing to worry. Go to device advanced settings and select this option "Disable front-panel jack detection". I am using a latest version of Realtek audio driver. And this option is present in "Connector settings". Since your driver is old, you better look for the option in both the places.

Disconnect you headset/microphone and see whether you get any sound or not from your speakers.

No sound. Just disabled the front panel too. It only shows the Digital plugged in. Analog Back Panel is still greyed out.

I always prefer downloading the latest audio driver from the website of the mobo manufacturer instead of downloading from guru3d or anywhere. Amazingly, my current audio driver version is 6.0.1.7293 which is later than the audio version of R2.75 (the audio driver version in it is 6.0.1.7246).

Okay so back to the topic. What is the AMD equivalent for that or can I get a better one for that price.

You might be able to bag a Phenom X6 if you extend the budget a bit. @salmanshah has a processor and motherboard up for sale, if I remember right.

Lol another update! I want to be able to crossfire the AMD processor with my 7750. That way I will be able to run games for a while before upgrading.

For Hybrid CrossFire, you're going to need an APU.

You can't crossfire processor with graphics card...... In 10k I don't think you will get something better than a phenom ii x4+ mobo. You can get a 2nd hand phenom ii x6+ mobo at ~14k or just get what Galib said if you later want to upgrade to i5/i7

All I want is a decent cpu that won't bottleneck my GPU. I plan on upgrading to a 260X later on. And a crossfire enabled mobo. So when I do get the 260X I can crossfire with my 7750.

How about the A6 3500 from UCC for 6200?
