Anyone using Dhakacom recently? I do face occasional browsing problems. Did they alert their users about any submarine cable issues? Or their service is similar to Link3's packet loss network?

Its good for browsing speed but i think they have issues with BDIX sometimes though ive goten 6-9MB or 400 500 KB of crazyhd, other times just reguler inetetnet speed. The have good youtube downaload but that experianced some difculty for a while(back as of now). I use the 1.5mps doubler in bashundara dohs.

So, DhakaCom isn't providing extra BDIX speed and binding MAC addresses for each connection? Are they gonna stop giving Real IP to home users too, like Link3?

(Posted here since the other thread is about BDIX trouble)

So here is the long regarded post am about to give about Dhakacom right now

I took the connection at January 21st this year. Here are the screenshots of the speed i was getting

Above given were the speeds i was getting when i first subscribed to it, i was getting really good latency from all regions as well. The first image is FTP speed from US, second is Singapore server, third is the latency from Singapore server. All of this was great, then what i didn't know was a storm was coming. In January 26th my latency in overall servers has reached to this level.

    1: German server 300ms
    2: NA server 270ms
3: Russian Server packet losses included 500ms

These server tests are tracked IPs of Battlefield 4.

As i was playing in Singapore server with 60ms i experienced a huge packet loss ordeal, they fixed it by changing my routing which basically meant no FTP, No Full on BDIX as other ISPs, better latency as well. My 60ms turned into 90ms

That's it, horrible routing. They haven't responded about the earlier routing and they are acting as if that didn't existed in the first place. But now am hearing from someone that in Rampura and Bonani they are still receiving BDIX, FTP and the latency as before. What the hell is going with Dhakacom? Are they trying to make us ¤¤¤¤ bricks had too much faith now apparently turning into a corporate backfire like Link3. I like Dhakacom's customer service they are very responsive but man this tears me up, they are hiding something.

So, it's not really recommended for online gaming?
How about the downtime? Did you face any net connectivity issues? Like no net for 3-4 days?

What name? About downtime, that's no issue. It's up for like forever if I'll put it

    - - - Updated - - -

Update, my downloading speed is not even fully utilized at Foreign servers subscribed for 1.5mpbs, most of my downloads are getting 1.1-1.4 for the most part. Most of them from 11AM to 2PM YouTube speed and downloading speed becomes crap, cache speed takes like twice reloading page to get it working to full extent.

I talked to their Engineer in Gulshan from Phone, but before i reassure anything. I need to know is there a problem with our BDIX all around 1. Is the routing issue from North America also affecting European and Singapore servers? 2. I just saw my friend using Mazeda in Dhanmondi and he got FTP speed from Tera, updating took like 30 minutes for whole 7GB. If he is receiving FTP why hasn't Dhakacom restored it now? 3

also using Dhakacom's internet. It seems good to me. um staying in niketon. their ftp resource is not rich as others but hindi movies are increasing. someone from their support say me to add their game server and also a facility of uploading contents to their ftp server. we all got huge collection of contents with us including movies, games nd software and if they make that system to upload then will it will be appreciable.

    Default DhakaCom Concerns

    ISP: DhakaCom
    Area: Uttara, Dhaka
    Package: 3 MBPs

    1. I get a DNS Error due to incompatibility, when I try to sign into Sony PlayStation Network (PSN), which is used primarily for gaming in PS4.

    2. Even though, I can sign into Sony PlayStation Network (PSN) using Google DNS or Open DNS, I receive very low bandwidth and a poor overall gaming experience.

    3. I've been receiving very low BDIX Bandwidth lately. Now I get around a max of around 1 MB/s (8 MBPs) whereas it was 5-7 MB/s (40-56 MBPs) a few weeks earlier.

    4. I used to receive around 7 MB/s (56 MBPs) Bandwidth in Google PlayStore and Google Servers but now it's only around 1 MB/s (8 MBPs).

I've lodged a complain and Customer Care has confirmed that they have created a Support Ticket, but have not received any feedback from them regarding solution of the issues.

    Hey guys,

So I've pingtested using 3 different servers:

    What do you guys think?

    Here's the speedtest:
    (not looking good..)
    Again (still not looking good)

Haven't checked BDIX speeds yet, but have spoken to them a few days back and they were considering increasing the cap from 2Mbps to 4 Mbps [!!!].

Well ping is still fluctuating, overall Singapore ping is still crap and hard to play in it. Maybe cause of load shedding and the uploading speed in NA is also crap tried several servers horrible but on the plus side, getting 9.5mbps YouTube speed, more BDIX and increase of 512kbps in Overall package

Welp they still haven't fixed their routing issues. This fluctuates as well, not to mention
Facebook browsing is poor, Ping fluctuates sometimes there are packet losses as well, I can't watch Twitch without it stopping streams to buffer even at 480p. Speed isn't consistent at US servers mostly I've been patient for too long and where the hell is the Singapore PoP?
