if you do prefer CSE(CS, CSE, SE, CSSE, COE, CE) then you should go with it
would you please explain why NSU is better choice for biotech and genetic engineering among the private university?

if u prefer CSE imo u should go for it. it's still an expanding market so jobs shouldn't be much of a problem. also, funding opportunities are good for CSE afaik.

nah. you see oldest and most reputed thing always doesn't work for every subject. every private university has its well organized and scattered subject. usually the subjects that are bringing good result are highlighted and musk other subjects. i need to know the strong and weak point of gene tech in NSU before i can recommend someone as this subject is comparatively new it requires enough skilled teachers and rich lab facilities since biotech lab requires some highly sophisticated equipment.

go for CSE. Lots of jobs in USA, esp in mobile software, web UI and development etc. Every tech company is also willing to sponsor H1B visa easily for CSE graduates, not for other degrees. In fact I wish I could turn back time and go for CSE myself. Would be making $150,000 yearly by now.

I heard that the quality and skill a cse student develops during his graduation depend heavily on his individual passion and hard work rather than the uni and teachers. Branding of university is useless for cse unlike the other engg subjects. is it true?? is the contribution of uni n faculty is negligible in cse ?

i'm asking this coz i have a plan to admit in 'IUBAT' which is generally categorized as a 'second class' pvt uni. I chose it for the financial issue as they provide 100% waiver for gpa5 holders following the condition to maintain a consistant cgpa of 3.50 out of 4.00

    plz suggest me on this regard @sensei @MusharratC @adnan0905 @shafi @[email protected] @Arka karlos

i'm asking this coz i have a plan to admit in 'IUBAT' which is generally categorized as a 'second class' pvt uni. I chose it for the financial issue as they provide 100% waiver for gpa5 holders following the condition to maintain a consistant cgpa of 3.50 out of 4.00
well if that was the case, then getting a Harvard or Stanford degree over NSU would have been useless. But that is not the case, is it?

Always aim for sth higher. The world works in a power hierarchy. The better school you attend, the more chances you will have. I think you should try for Brac or NSU. If you have GPA 5, why dont you try for aid in them? Brac is very good.

Whatever it is, go for CSE or Biotech and then apply for credit transfer abroad or go for Masters/PHD later on. Lots of jobs and funding in these fields. So you are in the right track. So nothing to worry.

one of my friend is studying in eee in brac and since he holds double golden, he gained 70% scholarship, so I think private uni provide good amount of scholarship based on result, just inquire before you admit into any uni that how much you can get. my opinion is also either you go for CSE or biotech, no matter where you enroll yourself in the end what matter most that how much you are willing to work for it.

strong & weak points - only experts can find out which is not likely to happen in a gaming forum -why don't try some biological society, newspaper(search archive), facebook pages/groups(of biology related disciplines from diff univ), talk with current/ex students of genetic engineering, microbiology, biochemistry .. .. .. from DU.
skilled teachers and rich lab facilities - that is why told about NSU. UODA also got these - not sure which one is better , may be EWU/IU can be winner - again you better consult with people who deal with 'bio' related matters.
well I thought you know something specific thats why asked

sadly that's only partially true. it's true that if u are a very good programmer/designer it won't matter where u graduated from but a better uni gives u a lot of advantages. tomal bhai and adnan bhai already mentioned them. besides those in a better uni u'll get a better environment; as in more competition, more workshops and seminars, more opportunity to work and more often than not better faculty and administration.

if u need financial aid, do read thoroughly the policies regarding this. some unis are very shitty about them. also the biggest help would come from someone who's currently studying in that institution.

    good luck with your studies.

well it depends right ? and so far in bangladeshi environment people gives much priority when they see student graduates from reputed universities so for cse and if you want to study in private university choose the best possible one i guess NSU , BRAC or AUST will be a better choice AIUB is also good one but if you have chance to give exam in IUT then it would be the best

EEE could be a good choice for career build up. On the other hand CSE is also good, if ones can show creativeness on his subject.
