500GB HDD will be enough. And how is the performance of G3220 in case of low range gaming? He'll add a GPU later.

Not that good. But if he doesn't play too much RTS, RPG or games too much reliant on AI than it won't matter. However, back when I owned a pentium myself, I saw lag in some fps single-player modes where there was a lot of NPCs.
My probable next build: Qisan MagicForce 68 (Outemu switch) / Teamwolf Zhuque+ 87 TKL (Outemu) / Monoprice Select series full size (Outemu/Gateron) / Drevo Gramr 84 TKL (Outemu) • Logitech G102 Prodigy • Deepcool Dukase V3 / Thermaltake Versa U21 • Superlux HD 681 • Creative Sound Blaster E1 • LG 22MP68VQ • SteelSeries QcK • Generic executive chair • others TBA

djrock please don't bother me. You are in my ignore list so I don't have to see literal poop.

I think he'll be able to play most of the titles released before 2014 at lowest settings if he adds a GPU later.

It's not possible right now Adding another 4K. And he ain't gonna need any extra PSU unless the GPU requires I guess.

I don't have any idea about Biostar Mobos. How are they? And 500GB will do. It'll save around 800-900tk.

Still I'd recommend to get a 1TB HDD unless your friend is really really tight in budget.

Benefit by cost ratio hiseb korle to amar mone hoi 3TB er nicher capacity'r HDD kenai loss.

    ^ This.
i3 should perform well with that Biostar Mobo. It also comes with 3 years warranty. So, chill.

Still no one beats Gigabyte for entry level mobos.

Performance difference between i3 and pentium G is marginal. I can run most games at medium settings or higher @768p on my 3rd gen pentium G.

That is simply not true. I read all these reviews and bought myself a G3220, and it is terrible in comparison to the i3 second gen and onwards. You will notice the huge difference when playing CPU intensive games like CSGO.

The processor is cheap but I would've been better off with an i3 instead (excl. 1st gen). I thought it would be the perfect processor for CSGO, and I have never been this wrong in my life.

Just don't buy biostar, ECS craps. Those may look juicy feature: price wise. But will rip you off in the long run. Agree with shawon0418 .Msi, Asus entry level motherboards are crap. Gigabyte is good at making budget motherboards.

    I don't know, I ran Witcher 2 smoothly at mid-high settings(medium texture filtering, 8x AA), isn't that CPU intensive?
