Default Can a BD number be displayed as an Indian number in my phone?

Guys, recently I got a call a from an Indian number (+91..........) in my phone. The person was unknown to me but, for some reason, the guy overall seemed like a Bangladeshi. So, my question, is it possible that a person, using a BD number, calls at my phone but it will be displayed as an Indian number? I really need the answer guys . Waiting for your reply.

Maybe. But not specifically Indian. Illegal VoIP services use various random numbers. Like in my Galaxy S2 plus, if you call from BD 'Bangladesh' is specified under the number. But my uncle who's in Oman and uses some illegal VoIP app calls from +880.../+30.../+25... numbers and the space under the number is blank. Maybe the guy was calling from West Bengal?

So, if someone uses illegal VOIP services and calls me, he can also change the "caller number" displayed on my phone. That's what you are saying right? And, I am pretty sure that he is from BD.
