first you need to download a good copy of the game(non-steam) so that you can play in non-steam servers.
Here this is the link to the latest copy of the game: Counter Strike: Source
    http://forum.digitalpowered.net/inde...howtopic=33413

or you can download it via Daru or take it from any SMILE user if you use SMILE, LINK3, BDCOM
Now add these servers to the favorites tab, these are the only two pub-servers here in BD & you can play lag free if you have a good ISP which is BDIX connected:

First one is DC's server aka DarkCrunk: BD GAMING CSS SERVER
    http://banglagamer.com/forums/showth...ic-CS-S-Server

Second is ZX server maintained bhai rodiono bhai: ZX ONLINE SERVER
    http://banglagamer.com/forums/showth...server-is-back
    *but it's off right now!

now that should give you a head start, hehe!

no there is no other way round, you need a good internet connection(BDIX) connected line to play smoothly in any server over here!

Type this in a command window, press the start button, type cmd then the following:

    ping -t home.bdgaming.net

Check the ping times and report back.

guys, i dont know whats happening. ive played CSS in the past, so i get what its like. and im trying to play it again.

so, i download the game and installed it from digitalpowered forums. it works, but everytime i load a server and the game loads but when the screen comes up it just hangs. the first screen comes with the big orange box and OK on the bottom left. but theres neither no writing in the box and the game just freezes. i cant play.

also, i want to know about how to connect to different servers. i mean, different ppl give addresses and IPs for servers, but i didnt see any option to input that data. theres only refresh button that automatically seraches for random servers.

You use IDM? If so, turn off advanced integration and then try.

Ya download manager. IDM's one and it interferes with CSS and causes that same problem.

But, ive changed the resolution to 800x600 i think. its working now. But i would still like to know how to fix those bugs where u get Purple coloured objects.

And plz can someone tell me wher to input the information to connect to a specific server?? i mean, everywhr i see IP address to a gaming server, like Zx server, etc. But i cant find any way to do that in the game. Does anyone know??
