About the recent news bulletin

This announcement is about a news bulletin published concerning BangalGamer.


We know Mr. Anas from the very beginning of BanglaGamer. We were always promised by him that Gigabyte would sponsor BanglaGamer. We even put Gigabyte's flash advertises in our site for months as he said it wont be long before we are officially sponsored. That never happened in reality.
It was mainly Galib bhai who sponsored BanglaGamer. Thanks to CHR Clan and ONIX Computers for partly sponsoring us.
Mr. Anas helped us to get sponsorship from ONiX Computers at the start of BG.

Few months ago we (SRS and CvP) went to IDB. We were invited by Mr. Anas to discuss about sponsorship.
Coincidentally, we met DesertFox bhai (and a few other BG members) in there.

We discussed about sponsorship. We proposed him many ideas (we will omit the details about the ideas; irrelevant to this topic) about how BG and Gigabyte can work together.

He asked us to send him our logo so that he can print T-Shirts and give them away in various occasions.
We did not mind as we were promised full sponsorship of BanglaGamer from Gigabyte.

Mr. Anas was very eager to do a get together of games and announce the partnership of BG and Gigabyte.
We were not told about the details at that time. Therefore, we did not agree about anything.
We said we would formerly propose about our needs and then we can come to a formal agreement.

Before we could do that, we started to hear many troubling things. Things like how he created BanglaGamer, things like how he owns BanglaGamer.

Not after long, we received his proposal (if it can be called one).

Let us list the things he has done for BanglaGamer till today:

1. Helped BG to get $100 from ONIX [in return we did advertise ONIX in BG for one year]
2. Printed a few Gigabyte T-Shirts with small BanglaGamer logo
3. that's all

Now let us list his "sponsorship" proposal:

1. He wants that BG to merge with some other big website. Through that site BG will get advertises.
   50% revenue will belong to that site. Mr Anas will take 25%.
   SRS, CvP and Ic3_STrik3R(!) will get rest 25% divided equally among them.
2. We are to make him BanglaGamer Managing Director.
   We will be paid a hefty amount (not disclosing the amount in here) for this.

If we do not agree to his proposal:

1. He/Smart/Gigabyte will open a their own forum.
2. "someone" will register BanglaGamer as their trademark and file civil suit against us.

This proposal was directly given to SRS. SRS clearly stated without CvP's consent, this is not going to happen.

However, without any confirmation from us, he just published this news in press.

সমপ্রতি গিগাবাইট ও বাংলা-গেমার সদস্যদের যৌথ উদ্যোগে এনএসইউ ক্যাম্পাসে এক মতবিনিময় সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

We, the BanglaGamer Directors, have no idea when or with whom Mr. Anas/Smart/Gigabyte conducted this meeting at NSU.

গিগাবাইট ও বাংলা গেমার যৌথভাবে কাজ করবে।

গিগাবাইট পণ্যের সুবিধাদি তুলে ধরে বিভিন্ন প্রচার-প্রচারণা চালাবে।

We are not obliged to do anything published in the said falsified news bulletin.

We had enough with Mr. Anas/Smart Tech/Gigabyte.
We will never sell the soul of BanglaGamer for money. Thanks for the offer though.

This is really sad....after talking with Anas bhai i thought we could work together....it would have helped us gamers a lot...but it shouldnt be like this....they shld help us anyway they can...not try to buy us and use us as they want....I agree with CvP and SRS....you guys and Galib bhai/Salman bhai(not me) created this site and made it to what it is now...so you shldnt sell it for money ......they can advertise on the site...they can sponsor the tournaments but they cant change what BG is right now...when someone gets the full control of a media system like this...they tend to use it for t heir own gain or their companies gain.....really sad...

speechless! now i regret going to that so called get-together! We don't want to be a part of this sponsorship deal or whatever they call it. If needed I'm even willing to pay money from my own wallet to keep BG going! BG was initiated by Gamers like Galib vai, Salman vai for one purpose and one purpose only, to unite the gamers not to make money out of it.

i agree. দুই বছর গালিব ভাই নিজের টাকা খরচ করে ফোরামটা চালু রেখেছেন, CvP বিনা পারিশ্রমিকে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। কিন্তু আমার মনে হয়, আমাদের ভবিষ্যতের কথা চিন্তা করেই একটা সিধান্তে আসা উচিত, নয়তো দিন দিন এমন হয়রানি বাড়তেই থাকবে। আমরা সাধারণ গেমাররা BG এর জন্য কী করতে পারি? কীভাবে করতে পারি? এ ব্যাপারেও দিকনির্দেশনা প্রয়োজন।

As long as we gamers are here, the soul of BG will be with us...whatever site they come up with, whatever civil suit they file, even if they get the Banglagamer name....we shall still be the REAL deal. You want a name?? You can get ours. But the soul remains where it is..
