ok .. played for 2 hrs .. my first impression is .. "no matter whether ur rpg fan or not .. just dont miss this game"

jader kase ME 1 save file ase tara eita aro valo moto enjoy korte parbe i think .. specially if u got 50+ level in ME 1
amar kase ME1 save file silo and imported it .. i got some level boost which is starting frm level 3 and paragon boost ..
and then ME 1 ending-er(saving the council) upor base kore at very first ekta shocking decision nite hoi .. :( .. its spoiler so i cant say

gameplay chorom satisfying korse .. combat ager chaite onek josh hoise ..
gfx ami medium dia kheltesi .. but tarporo onek josh lagtese ..
story nia jotodur mone hoitese .. ME1 story ta eikhane valoi effect kortese

jai hok .. i think im gonna spend more than 50 hrs for this game

Hi im playing the game. and its awesome. But I cant import my charecter from ME 1. can you give a step by step instruction how you did that? The Save import option on ME2 config doesnt work. and in the game the "import ME1 profile" option doesnt work either.

Please help me out. Im lvl 52 soldire at ME1. dont really wanna start a new charecter.

run mass effect 2 exe -> go toconfigure -> at the left side click Save Games -> click copy mass effect 1 save game buttons -> then locate ME1 save game folder NOT the ME1 folder i repeat save game folder -> then ok

now u can use this profile from game menu .. enjoy .. :)

do this :

1. After Installing Mass Effect 2 with crack
2. Install all the .exe files from Mass Effect 2 DLC Pack folder
3. copy "giveme2entitlements.exe" and paste it into "Mass Effect 2\BioGame\DLC" folder
4. run "giveme2entitlements.exe", when asked confirm overwrite.

5. NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT ----> u need to disconnect internet every time until u got MAIN MENU screen after adding DLC .. when u'll see main menu then connect ur net
otherwise it will try to connect cerburus network and will verify the DLC

New Mass Effect 2 Expansion Announced

BioWare brings more downloadable goodness.

Hope you're not sick of Mass Effect 2 yet. BioWare (http://games.ign.com/objects/026/026717.html) just announced yet another new downloadable expansion pack for the game called Lair of the Shadow Broker.

No other details were revealed. BioWare says the expansion is "coming soon." Three new screenshots are posted in the gallery.

Here's a quick rundown of the plot.

"Two years ago, Commander Shepard died and Liara T'Soni fought in a desperate struggle against the Shadow Broker to recover her former Commander. DLC is Downloadable Content..u can add this with the main game and have some xtra Missions, weapons, vehicles ( on Mass Effect 2) and other blah blah blah stuffz depending on the genere of the game..as it says in the name, u have to download it from the internet, more precisely from the Torrent sites..

If you want to play all DLCs then you need to install all sequentially, for every DLC pack there is a "giveme2entitlements.exe" file.
After installing every DLC pack you'll have to run it that comes with the package, and the last DLC Overlord contains latest patch.
So, you'll have to install at very end. After finishing all those works use the latest crack which you'll find at Overlord package.

Mass Effect is heading to a PlayStation 3 near you

The Electronic Arts GamesCom press conference is currently underway and BioWare have taken the stage with two big announcements, one of which is that the Mass Effect franchise will be heading to the PlayStation 3.

Previously exclusive to PC and Xbox 360, Mass Effect has been rumored many times as jumping ship to PlayStation 3, each time a rumor surfaced, BioWare shot it down.

However, now BioWare have just announced that Mass Effect is indeed coming to the PlayStation 3 in January 2011.

No specific date was given, or whether it would be the first Mass Effect, the second, or indeed both.

The first Mass Effect released to fans around the world in November 2007. Following the game's huge success and high reviews BioWare crafted a sequel, part of a trilogy which the company had wanted to create from the beginning. Mass Effect 2 released in January 2010, again proving to be a huge success.

Mass Effect 3 is coming, BioWare have already confirmed it, but now we'll hopefully see the whole trilogy on PlayStation 3 and not just the second and third.

You don't have to start a new playthrough if that's what you are asking. As long as your character is either at the starting or mid-way through the story you'll be able to test out the new weapons and missions. New weapons will appear at the armory and new missions (e.g. Kasumi) will appear on the journal. Btw, don't forget to patch it or else you might not be able to run the DLCs due to piracy :P

Full Paragon nah howeo Tali ke exiled howa theke prevent kora jae.

Eita korar jonne BEFORE leaving to retake the Alarei talk to EVERYONE-The Judges, Veetor, Captain Kal Reegar(Make sure hes alive in Talis recruitment mission otherwise he wont be there and you wont get a chance to save Tali from being exiled). After that leave to retake the Alarei and when ur back u can see a conversation option abt arousing the crowd to speak in Talis favour. In that way you can save her honour.

And Jack-Miranda arguement e amar enough paragon points chhilo nah, othocho Legion-Tali argument e chhilo toh ami Paragon option diye duijon er trust e bachate parsi!

Also abt the Paragon-Renegade thing. The Renegade ACTIONS, NOT conversation options, are pretty helpful. The Paragon one just saves ppl and does little in giving you any advantage.

But the problem is, if you choose both paragon and renegade path and have them half-filled each instead of one very high, you'll run into difficulties in the situations you have mentioned in your post. So, its best to go paragon once, then replay choosing the renegade path. I still want to know if anyone has chosen Morinth, the ultimate renegade action... or agreeing with the illusive man in the end... but couldn't manage the time needed to replay it.

Why destroy such a technological masterpiece? Of course it could come in handy. Science has good and bad sides, but if you choose to eliminate the bad side, you lose the good side as well. Shephard could make it even better. But the problem is if the base was kept intact, illusive man and his illusive men would take control of the base. There is no guarantee what he will do with the base. I neither like nor trust him. So, in this case, the base should be destroyed.

Reaper, themselves, are technology. So, by studying their tech, you are studying their existence, and their future. So, we can destroy a reaper far more efficiently if we know how they work. Remember how long it took and how many ships it needed to destroy Sovereign in ME 1? Now suppose Shephard told Mordin to find out a way to ease the process. He discovered that one shot at a weak point will overload the reaper and destroy it, then all its gonna take is a good sniper to kill a reaper. Millions of times more efficient. But doing the same to human is not so easy. Humans are driven by emotion, not some stupid codes. So, reapers will not know what we are planning to do even if they had all our technology.

That is an assumption. There is no guarantee that EDI v2 will be twice as fast as its predecessor. Remember, EDI is supposed to be one of the most sophisticated AIs available. Given Cerberus' funding, I'd say it's at the peak of AI capability. Sure some upgrades could be made, but revolutionary progress doesn't happen everyday. It's like saying every new CPU Intel releases is faster than it's predecessor by same margin the i7 is faster than a P4.

And you are also assuming that the research will go well. It's clear how, even when the Reaper threat is imminent, human traits (jealousy, hatred, lust) are still dominant. What's to say humans/aliens won't be corrupted by the new technology?

I never said that. Eg. Can you remember how much faster PIII was compared to PII? Lets say it was "n" times faster. Now say how much faster is the fastest 4 core i7 compared to fastest C2Q? 6 core i7s will kill C2Qs. It is "NOT" n times faster, actually at least 10-20n times (just a guess, I did not calculate it) faster. The relative performance gain is same (around 120% of previous gen comparable product). But 120% of this generation is not comparable to 120% of past generation. That is what I tried to mean.

BTW, what you are saying is also just an assumption. We both are assuming things, ME3 will show whose assumption is correct.

I, too, see my assumption having a greater probability of occurring than yours. :cool: I do not trust illusive man, so I already said that Cerberus and illusive man are out of this equation. If not possible, then we MUST destroy the reaper. See my previous post.


Science has good and bad sides, but if you choose to eliminate the bad side, you lose the good side as well. Shephard could make it even better. But the problem is if the base was kept intact, illusive man and his illusive men would take control of the base. There is no guarantee what he will do with the base. I neither like nor trust him. So, in this case, the base should be destroyed.

And regarding how many times REAPER is repeated ... Reaper is even present here!! Look at my sig (I mean when I am posting, don't come back a year later and look for it). The name of the middle character is Reaper (from UT3). Interesting.

yeah true ..... but aikhanei to moja .... u know there is a saying that choosing the right path is a tough choice and comes with harder obstacles ....... so it is true that destroying the base is a good choice (which even the game hints by giving a blue star indicating paragon color) since Illusive man definitely had other plans in mind, but at the same time it will possibly make the fight against reapers a tough one.

Now reapers are damn advanced. They wiped out protheans before and also many in between. I dont think current technology of mass effect 2 universe will suffice to beat reapers. Definitely the help has to come from reaper technology or possibly some other stronger source. Just like the prothean scientists had to mess with the Citadel's keepers to keep Sovereign from activating mass relay portals. After all keepers were also placed by Reapers themselves. Similarly reaper technology was used to enter Omega 4 relay. So oder technology chara beat kora possible na amneo.

Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker Preview

Liara makes her triumphant return as a squad member.


It's not a secret that I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect 2. Although I didn't have a hand in voting it as the best Xbox 360 game to date, (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/104/1045042p26.html) I certainly agree with the decision. That said, the downloadable content thus far has been self-contained, with seemingly little impact on the overarching storyline, which I found a little disappointing. Still, there have been some really great pieces. Kasumi's Stolen Memory and Overlord stand out as my favorites, but I have a feeling they'll both be usurped by the next bit of content: Lair of the Shadow Broker.

The first true bridging downloadable content BioWare (http://games.ign.com/objects/026/026717.html) has produced, Lair of the Shadow Broker will be playable at any point in your game after you travel to Illium. Because your decisions here will actually affect certain storylines in Mass Effect 3, and more importantly, you can finally resume your romantic relationship with Liara (if you successfully wooed her in the first game), this promises to be the best DLC for Mass Effect 2 to date. Lair of the Shadow Broker also houses more cut scenes and dialogue sequences than in any of the previous DLC offerings and will play out over a few hours. Yesterday I had the privilege of getting my hands on it for about 30 minutes, and that time left me wanting more.

There were two gameplay sequences that stood out to me during my time: the car chase through the city (highlighted in the trailer) and the first boss battle. When I first heard that there would be a car chase, I became nervous. I'm terrible at driving in games and I almost always fail missions on my first try. Thankfully, the section was forgiving and short, and I actually sort of enjoyed it. Weaving through city traffic to try and catch up with the other car reminded me of the movie The Fifth Element, and I'll admit that I've always wanted to drive a flying car. There was even humorous banter between Liara and Shepard to frame the chase, preventing it from taking too serious of a tone.

While the car chase was a brand new element, the boss battle I encountered was by no means revolutionary, but it did make me go, "Whoa." Holy mother of fast moving things, the enemy you face rivals The Incredible Flash. In the end, the baddie was no match for my team (which included Liara), but beating him or her wasn't easy, and Shepard almost died a few times when I couldn't find safe cover. If there are more boss battles like that throughout this add-on pack, then the combat segments will be sure to satisfy.

The storyline of Lair of the Shadow Broker is consistent with the darker tone of Mass Effect 2. Liara is no longer the naive girl prone to sequestering herself in Prothean dig sites. She's become noticeably hardened and hell-bent on getting revenge, and rightfully so. If you've read the Mass Effect: Redemption comic series following the actions of Liara after the Normandy SR-1 is destroyed, you'll already be caught up with her situation and motivation. If you haven't, the game sets up the circumstances for you, though not in as much detail.

To sum it up, Liara worked alongside her partner, Feron, and Cerberus to retrieve Commander Shepard's body from the Shadow Broker's possession before he could sell it to the Collectors. In the process, Feron was captured and Liara is hopeful that her former Drell partner is still alive on the Shadow Broker's ship. After years of tracking, Liara finally gets her big break – a Salarian named Sekat has discovered the location of the Shadow Broker. That's all I'll say story-wise to avoid spoiling the experience, but you can expect a well-written narrative with twists and turns.

This is the first DLC BioWare has released that I plan on playing through with my multiple Shepards, and I can't wait to reunite one of them with their former love. You won't have to wait long to get your hands on Lair of the Shadow Broker – it releases for Xbox 360 and PC next Tuesday, September 7 for 800 Microsoft points ($10).

Crazy Mass Effect 2 Stats and What They're Used For

Casey Hudson talks with IGN about how your actions are helping BioWare design its next hit.

When George Orwell wrote the dystopian novel 1984, he laid out a possible future in which the government watches everything in a heavy-handed approach to population and thought control. Big Brother was always watching, a concept that still sends chills down the spines of every privacy advocate out there. Thankfully, 1984 never came to be.

But as it turns out, Big Brother is watching; not in an effort to control you but rather to learn from you. You're not just playing videogames anymore. You're actively providing feedback about what parts you like and which you don't. How you play could ultimately help shape the future of videogame design.

BioWare (http://games.ign.com/objects/026/026717.html) is just one of numerous development studios and publishers that have begun collecting anonymous player data. No identifying information is tied to the information harvested, so you don't have to worry about things being traced back to you. You're just a data point amongst millions. I spoke with Casey Hudson, Executive Producer for the Mass Effect (http://pc.ign.com/objects/704/704283.html) franchise, about how this is done and what the studio has learned so far.

"The only data that we get are in terms of events -- little things that happen in the game," explained Hudson. "Let's say if we want to know whether players skip lines of dialogue, we can have that become a little event that gets sent up. It's all completely anonymous, so all we get is raw numbers for how many times these kinds of events occur. Then we can start getting ratios and comparing proportions and things like that. It becomes this mass of numbers, and then we have to try to figure out how we would interpret that."

This is a process that is new for BioWare with Mass Effect 2 (http://pc.ign.com/objects/142/14235019.html), one that Hudson hopes will aid the team in designing future games. "When we were looking at the Achievements for Mass Effect 1, that's where we realized that there are some really interesting player behaviors there that it would be nice if we could answer more questions for ourselves. [Then] we could understand what's going on and how people play our game."

"Sometimes you'll design something and think that it's going to be used in a certain way and people will use it in a completely different way. And if you didn't know that, then you would just keep making that system the same as you did before. But once you know what players like and what they don't like, based on the way that they're playing it, then you can make more of the good stuff and less of the stuff they weren't interested in."

This data is used for top-level design and isn't anything that could have been used in the making of downloadable content, or even to alter Mass Effect 2 for PS3.

"There are some things regarding difficulty and weapons and things like that and those are easier to tune, but there won't be a huge opportunity to include this stuff for the PS3 version. It's about how you design a game from the ground up."

"Ultimately it doesn't always give you the answers, but it sometimes raises questions or gets you to ask the right questions…More people played the soldier class than all of the other classes combined. If you know that, then you can start thinking about future games. Is that good? Is that a problem? Should we look at the other classes and start thinking about ways to make them selected as often as soldier? As part of asking these questions, we can design games in the future a lot better."

It's not just about raising questions. Sometimes the data gathered reaffirms beliefs. "It helps us to confirm a lot of the assumptions that we make when we design games. Obviously with a game like Mass Effect (http://pc.ign.com/objects/704/704283.html) we're trying to capture the sense of continuity and the cinematic experience. More and more we're trying to create something dynamic and exciting like a really great movie and we're trying to get away from dialogue, though even a movie has conversations. This set of decisions we make for how you would experience that and the fact that we have a dialogue system and things like that, we're kind of assuming and hoping that we're right in that people are interested in this kind of experience."

BioWare (http://games.ign.com/objects/026/026717.html) found that only 15% of conversations were skipped in Mass Effect 2 (http://pc.ign.com/objects/142/14235019.html), with the rate higher in non-critical moments like in the hub worlds and much lower later in the game at the climax. "If we found that 80% or 90% of the lines were being skipped, we would have to reevaluate the work that we were putting into the digital acting."

Other times, the data surprises. That happened with both how there were differences between the PC and Xbox 360 populations, as well as in regards to importing saves from Mass Effect 1. "We were surprised by how many people imported a game from Mass Effect 1…We put a lot into that feature and we could have gotten data back that said nobody was doing it. But actually more than half of players imported their save game from Mass Effect 1. That to me is quite high."

The average time to play through the game was 33 hours. PC gamers spent about an hour longer, while Xbox 360 players did 10% more loyalty missions on average. "In general, pretty much all of the data for the Xbox 360 version and the PC version are quite similar. One difference was the people who did certain loyalty missions on the Xbox versus the PC, which is kind of surprising. On the PC for example, people did Miranda's loyalty mission quite a bit, which is where she is trying to connect with her sister and it's more of a touchy-feely plot. Not a lot of Xbox 360 players did that one. But the Xbox 360 players did do Grunt's mission a lot more than PC players."

The PC players have the edge in dedication. Hudson claims that a lot of people played Mass Effect 2 more than once and about half of all players -- including those who rented or borrowed it -- who started played all of the way through to the end. Two players in particular on the PC played through 28 times. That's the current record. Four people on Xbox 360 played 23 times.:ohmy::ohmy: If you're any of these people, please write in to us and tell us how you have so much spare time.

Some of these statistics are nothing more than that. As Hudson noted, there isn't any real takeaway in the differences between Xbox 360 and PC players. "Even if you know what some of these player behaviors are, is there anything you should do about it or is it just something interesting?"

There was a great improvement in quality from Mass Effect 1 to Mass Effect 2, and that was without collecting this telemetry data. If this endeavor proves useful, we can expect great things from the final chapter in the trilogy.

"Ultimately what it means for players is that we don't have to guess anymore about what players are doing. We can actually learn about what they like and what they don't like and just try to focus on building the good stuff."

Sounds good to me.
