I recently contacted ESWC officials and asked them for holding qualifiers in Bangladesh as there are professional clans in our country For example CS(Xtreme lungiz) ,DoTA(Shadowplay) and a lot of pro FIFA players in BD . I am not quite sure about the rest of the games neither clans or players .
I requested them to hold this qualifiers and they answered really fast with a warm welcome to Bangladesh.

First of all we thank you for the interest you have toward the Electronic Sports World Cup. To have national qualification in your country there must be a national organizer which will handle the tournament. We are looking to find one for Bangladesh as for some other countries. If you know a company that can organize the national qualification I invite you to contact mister Gregorio Machadinhno from our office at xxxxxxxxxx and talk about that with him.

The id is not given in public, this is the mail recieved by me.
ESWC offers CS , DoTA , Warcraft3,Quake,women-cs etc. ESWC has more than 150 teams participating in the qualifiers.

I would request Banglagamer if they can give me answers on this subject. If the BG officials think this is a good idea to have qualifiers like WCG and ESWC this will take gaming to greater heights . As WCG is organized by f1 , ESWC has given us great respect and honor to be a the organizers of ESWC, I am eager to organize everything
along with more of BG officials. If BG agrees with my views then I would like to continue with the organizing of ESWC in BAngladesh .

ESWC 2009 Grand Final in Paris Bercy, June 26-28

The 7th edition of the ESWC World’s Finals will be organized in Paris, France, in Bercy, the international arena of sport and entertainment from June 26 to 28, 2009. France will welcome back ESWC at the occasion of the 4th Gaming Show of Paris.

Worldwide preliminaries will be held in over 50 countries from October 2008 to June 2009 to select the world’s best gamers that will take part in final competitions. The 7th season of ESWC will starts officially with the ESWC Masters of Athens October 17th. National Preliminaries, as series of upcoming ESWC Masters will be phased in the season

You need to show them that you have sponsors that are willing to send ALL those teams to France! The way for the teams to participate need to be ensured. You're not the first person to have contacted them Snakey! ;) I talked to Sylvain (The Person in charge of DotA) around February 2008 about this! ;)

Umm, so far this is what I've noticed:

BG has a vision
BG has a platform
BG has everything needed

BUT! Is missing ONE thing. SPONSORS and the OFFICIAL-ism. Well, I think, IF BG gets that, we can pretty much go WAY further. So why isn't anyone trying to achieve this? Or is this top secret stuff going on? Either way, we need to hurry.

BD has good gamers. Freaking n00bz, with 0 exp, but good talent. And they can get GOOD like really FAST, IF the platform is there.

So now we need, some sponsors. For that we need some tournis/leagues. And to get sponsors we need OFFICIAL-ism. So if we have those, THEN ONLY can we think outta BD.

Bottom line:

Make BG OFFICIAL
Make BD a better gaming comunity
Go aborad

And BD will be the best. =]

even if BG had sponsors, getting THAT much of money from sponsors is almost impossible as most are spending on WCG already.

if I/you/we/BG could, we'd like to organize events like ADC, WCG, ESWC....all of them. but right now we are not in any position to do so. hopefully, there'll be some heavy campaign about BG after we finish our current site/forum upgrading things.
if we can get sponsors, we have a lot of other things to do. then when BG becomes a known name to all BD cyber gamers, we can try to pull out something like WCG/ESWC hosting.
it's a long shot..and simply impossible at the moment.

@ Sn4K3y, if people had contacted ESWC before, don't you think they deserve to say it. They contacted ESWC, and saw that it can't go anywhere with the current state of affairs in BD.
