    THQ is no more. The company's assets have been divided and auctioned off to the highest bidder. Here's the breakdown of the auction.


    Relic Entertainment
    Makers of Company of Heroes
    Winning bidder: Sega, $26.6 million.
    Backup: Zenimax Media, $26.3 million.

    THQ Montreal
    Makers of 1666 and Underdog, titles under development.
    Winning bidder: Ubisoft, $2.5 million. No runner-up.

    Evolve
    (title in development at Turtle Rock Studios)
    Winning bidder: Take-Two Interactive, $10.894 million.
    Backup: Turtle Rock Studios, $250,000.

    Volition, Inc.
    Maker of Saints Row
    Winning bidder: Koch Media/Deep Silver, $22,312,925.
    Backup: Ubisoft, $5.4 million.

    Homefront
    Released 2011; due for a sequel.
    Winning bidder: Crytek. $544,218.

    Metro
    Series; due for the sequel Metro: Last Light.
    Winning Bidder: Koch Media/Deep Silver, $5,877,551
    Backup: Ubisoft: $5.175 million.

    South Park
    License; South Park: The Stick of Truth is due for release March 5.
    Winning bidder: Ubisoft, $3,265,306


    Those are the assets auctioned. There are still some that wasn't been auctioned. Like Vigil Games still have no owner, thus the future of Darksider series is currently depending on whether someone will buy them or not. Platinum Games is reported to buy Darksiders series later.

      I hope Vigil Games is not acquired by Platinum games. Bayonetta, Vanquish, Metal Gear Rising (played only the demo) all have good gameplay but stupid stories. If they do get Vigil Games, Darksiders III will have the stupidest story in the whole series with great gameplay >_<.

      Yeah, Darksiders III deserves better publisher.

      That's why Koch Media/Deep Silver purchased it. It should be their most profitable title. Poor UBISOFT lost only by a little.

      i am happy that sega bought relic. at least they will bring some rts in future. if ubi bought relic then god knows what would happen to coh or warhammer series. also creative assembly got the license for some warhammer title afak. so there will be more and better rts in warhammer universe. i dream that one day CA will challenge blizzard the money sucking companion of activision with some wonderfully crafted rts and slap them in the face.
