• Tomb Raider to include a new feature in the game. Possible multiplayer?

    Tomb Raider Global Brand Director Karl Stewart teases a new feature from the upcoming title Tomb Raider in the previous Crystal Habit podcast.

    In the podcast Karl Stewart says, "You’ll start to hear from a lot of people in the upcoming days, including Dan Bisson. Dan came in probably a little over a year ago or thereabouts from Montreal. He’s worked on a ton of games, from Assassin’s Creed to Rainbow Six. He’s working on one specific feature, which we’ll start talking about later on."

    Daniel Bisson aka Dan Bisson worked on UBISOFT Montreal and Electronic Arts Montreal. He was involved in Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 as well as in Army of Two: The 40th Day. Dan Bisson worked on the Multiplayer mode of Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. That's why it could be very possible for a Multiplayer or co-op in Tomb Raider.

    Karl Stewart also says, "Dan’s from back in the days on Assassin’s Creed. He’s brought a wealth of experience, and he’s the type of person I want to be out there now, talking and making sure that he communicates a lot of the features and a lot of the systems that we haven’t gotten under the hood on."

    On December, 2010 around the time the game was first unveiled, a job posting on Gamasutra spotted that Crystal Dynamics is looking for Game Designer Multi-Player and Producer Multi-Player.

    Crystal Dynamics is looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and highly organized individual with demonstrable project management experience to take on a major production role in the multi-player part of an upcoming action adventure title. For this role, we are looking for an individual with outstanding communication skills and a proven track record in production, having successfully produced or managed a team designing multi-player parts of an AAA title.

    This Producer will work in support of the Executive Producer to coordinate, track, and guide activities of the multi-player staff to ensure that projects are completed on time and with high quality. Exposure to formal project management techniques in an internal development environment is a must as well as knowing how to lead a team toward milestone achievements..


    •Works with Executive Producer and leads in each discipline to determine resources necessary to see projects through to completion.
    •Coordinates tracks and manages the activities of the team to ensure that project tasks are completed on time.
    •Provides motivation and direction to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones and deliverables are achieved.
    •Contributes to a positive work environment.
    •Help provide leadership and vision for the multi-player side of the title, working with the Executive Producer, Sr producers, and Creative Director.
    •Other duties as assigned.
